Keep trying

A few weeks ago, one of my friends started a conversation by asking how we find time for personal Bible study while we're at home with kids all the time.

*SIGH*
*BLUSH*

I had to admit I wasn't the best person to ask. I mentioned that I've tried a few different things - getting up early, doing it during naps, reading the Bible out loud with the kids - some things would work for a time, but I haven't been good at being consistent. But I said I just keep trying.

And I meant it, I do keep trying. But it is a challenge sometimes, isn't it? Whatever your stage or season of life, Bible reading, prayer, time alone with God can be something we put off or put last. But it's still a choice. And every day I can choose whether I'm making it a priority or not.

Since that conversation, I've had a renewed since of purpose in this area. And PRAISE THE LORD, He has renewed my desire for His word in such a way that I wake up hungry for it every day.

If you're looking to start a new habit, or just need a new tool for Bible study, I've been using these studies by Kari (she has a FREE one to start!). And if you've struggled in the past to be consistent (like me), be encouraged. He's waiting for you, so don't give up. Keep Trying!
I'm praying for myself, and for YOU, that God would keep nudging us to spend time with Him and grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

Do you have a favorite time of day for Bible study or quiet time? What tools do you use to help you dig into the Word of God?

Have a blessed week, friend!
